The 512MB 7800GTX cards are extremely rare and have been almost impossible to find, last time I heard. and I have no idea which motherboard you're talking about, you need to be more specific.
 
you know the asus a8n sli? There's one with a silverish heatsink then some MASSIVE COPPER heatpipe and that's the one i'm after.

Actually, I you might be able to get a 7800GTX 512MB off of ebay, but I highly recommend that you don't. There's no way to guarrantee that they actually have the card and that you'll actually get it. I wouldn't risk $700-800 buying anything copmuter related off of ebay.

OOOOhhhhh, I think you're looking for the A8N32-SLI Deluxe, all the Asus A8N SLI boards that I have seen before had silver HSFs. I'm pretty sure all the big electronics sites are out of stock, but you might try Froogle, Pricewatch, Pricegrabber, or other shopping search engines for smaller companies that have the board. If you're not familiar with it, just check Resellerratings before you buy from smaller companies, some companies are shady and are own to list things as in stock when they don't actually have them.
 
the 512mb GTX cards are not that rare, I think what you mean is that they are expensive and in some terms... a rip off.

I spray painted my fan/grill gold with cheap spray stuff from Walmart, then I added sparkle to from a sparkle spray that I also got from Walmart. Then I finished it off with an overcoat that you can also find at Walmart, it will protect the surface of the heatsink. This being, so that you are not limited to a company's golden colored heat sink and instead chose the heatsink/fan you want to use. But I only sprayed the fan and protective grill of the heatsink, and not the heatsink since I guess it will just melt off and destroy my mobo. I guess if you were serious, you could get spray paint for cars, which are designed to survive through prolonged levels of heat, because you don't see gold-painted cars melting from the sun's rays.

Of course they're rare, but obviously not for you since you have 2 in SLI.... But I'm sure you're one of those people who bought them the second they came out. When I said they're rare, I meant that it's almost impossible to find a store with them in stock.
