Yes, but some of us (including me) have actually experienced performance loss... I guess it depends on what video card you are running..

Whoa, really? I downloaded Detonator 4/XP on my parents Dell 450 MHz PIII with the Nvidia TNT1, and I noticed a slightly better performance advantage! (pretty nice considering the XP driver is meant to boost the GeF3's performance the most). What card are you using, performance should not go down noticably, if at all (I saw a couple of reviews that had performance decrease with the XP drivers, but it was literally under 1%, and only on one benchmark).

I am running GeForce 2 GTS with a T-Bird 700Mhz...

When I was using 12.90 drivers, I got clost to 3000 in 3dmark2001... After upgrading to Detonator 4 drivers I lost around 150 pts in 3dmark2001... I also lost pts when I upgraded to 14.40 drivers, but not as much as detonator 4's...

12.90 still seems to work best for me...
