Im interested in this. Cheapest ones ive seen are 100$ for a pair, and they were crap.

I wound up paying closer to $75 for mine. For some reason, they are freakin' expensive!

Radio shack has some fairly cheap stands. Frankly I prefer mounting my speakers (rears at least, fronts are floor standing) to the wall but whatever works for you.

Well i picked up a setup that all the speakers are fairly small (8" tall), so sitting them on the ground may look kinda funny :D j/k

Anyway, i would love to mount the fronts on the wall, but my TV is a Direct-View CRT HDTV, so it sticks out a good 2-3 feet from the wall. Might not be ideal to mount those.

I bought some wood technology stands at Buy.com and they are very nice- cheaper and better than the omnimount crap from circuitcity.

Saw some at WalMart in the $30 range. Don't know what quality they are, but I don't see how it could make a whole lot of difference... either they hold up your speakers or they don't.
