where can I get a VWM for windows?

Linux's VWM thing is a feature I have always loved. (I like being able to switch desktops - and thus switch tasks without minimizing).

Are there any freestanding VWM's out there for Win32 platforms?

I run Win2k, and would like a VWM, preferably one that runs in the system tray...

I have seen one of these programs for Win32, but I haven't used it in a couple years. I cant remember the name, but I got it an winfiles.com Maybe you could try looking there.

multiple desktops were available under NT4.0 from the Reskit... I would imagine something similar is available for Win2k... look through the ResKit for win2k

Run litestep as your OS Shell and you can have 4, though I have seen people even run 9.
