Where can i get a replacement LCD for my LG vx4500?

LCD is broken,

I have the phone apart and i feel that i could replace it myself. Any idea where i could get a replacement LCD?

Or anyone know how i can get it fixed if i cant find a replacement part?
 
prubly from LG them selfs but good luck getting one form them. otherwide your best bet is to find another broke vx4500 that the screen is good on to use as a donor phone. but honestly its proublly not worth it the 4500 isn't that good of a phone....

i called them over the weekend, and basically they're giving me a huge run around. told me to call LG, and i did that before calling them and LG told me to call verizon.

What i need to find out is if the LG warranty covers the broken LCD. Its not like it broke on its own, i dropped it. So i dont think im covered.

But i have the phone apart, and its a really simple procedure to replace the screen. But im screwed if i cant get the part.
 
I'm suprised verizon won't sell you the LCD. I'm sure they have them around because of their accidental coverage. You may try stopping by a verizon store.
 
Did it crack or just stop working? If it just stopped working, take it into a VZW store and have the techs fix it.

If it cracked or shows signs of abuse, you're probably just going to have to buy a new phone. Take out the extra insurance next time. Worth it if you have an expensive phone.

they would sell me a broken phone at a verizon store?

How do i ask for it? It never dawned on me to ask for a broken phone.

As far as insurance, i cant be bothered. Each time i get a phone i have it for 6month-year and it ends up being on sale for half of what i paid for it on ebay.

Here's another question. The phone is $50 on the verizon site with a new contract. I was planning on upgrading my plan to 800 minutes. By upgrading my plan, doesnt my contract start all over again? So shouldnt i be entitled to get the phone for $50?
 
well just got a reply from craigslist.

a guy has a fully functional phone for sale, but it has a balance on it.

What should i offer?

the guy wants $100 for a phone with a balance on it. Reason? Cause it can work overseas.


 
well i still havent found anything.

i went to my verizon store and they said that selling broken phones as well as refurbished phones are against verizon policy. But when i called customer service they said most stores offer it. So i guess i gotta try another store.


I'm getting desperate here, so if anyone happens to come across a replacement LCD or a broken phone for parts please PM me.
