where can I get a rear blackplate for motherboard header?

try to contact the motherboard manufacturer. This kind of thing usually comes packaged with the mobo. A lot of new cases come with this kind of port you are talking about already built in but in the front of the case. My motherboard came with a bunch of extra usb and firewire headers but not with enough extension ports for all of them. So I just picked a case that had some built on already.

My new board came with the RF shield (the part name for what you're describing) in the box with it. I'd agree that the motherboard manufacturer is your best chance of finding one.

I'm not sure if you are talking about something that would go in a PCI cover plate, or if you mean the thin metal piece that surrounds all the ports on the motherboard (also called the I/O shield, I/O plate, or motherboard bezel).

I think he wants a PCI extension port that has 2 usb 2.0 plugs and 1 firewire plug on it for the back of the machine.

I am looking for a rear bracket (NOT a PCI Card) that goes into 1 of the 7 expansion bays on the back of a case. It then plugs into the headers on your motherboard. I need one that has 2 USB 2.0 plugs, and 1 1394a (FireWire) plug. I have only found one of these (on Intel's shop websire), but it wasn't 2.0 compatible. My motherboard manufacturer doesn't make the one with 2 USB and 1 1394... and THAT is the one I want. Does anyone know where to get a bracket like this? It may be referred to as a Bracket, Backplate, Rear Panel, etc...
