Waited too long and MEM-MAN is sold out of 533mhz Celerons.
His price I think was $81 without shipping.
Thanks.

Onvia.com might have them. They are very reliable. Buy.com probably doesn't. they don't usually carry the lower clocked versions of the intel chips.

He may mean 533a FC-PGA, and those DO overclock! ;)
The price of the 533a is not as attractive these days as the 566, and they are more scarce.

I have my 566 @ 850 @ 1.65 volt with default fan/heatsink. I would go for the 566 or even a 600 with the new stepping.

I think the fact that he said "Where can I get a PPGA 533 Celeron?" means that he wants a "PPGA 533 Celeron" not a FC-PGA. :)

Accessmicro.com has them in stock for $107 before shipping.
Link.

Not so great of a price but it is retail boxed.

why c533? because your m/b only support 8x multiplier? no bios update support.

that was the situation i had before. can't find c533a anywhere or the price is too much.
get c566a with a cheap soltket, put it in, it worked,it post c566 by default. i used the B21 trick on the soltket. it post 850. is this helpful for you.
c566@850 soltket vcore by jumper @1.9v. very stable!!!!

I had one, but put it out on an auction site just yesterday. I know I should have put it on here.

If he has a Socket 370 motherboard that doesn't support FC-PGA processors then a 533 Celeron is the best he can do.

YES I NEED THE OLD SOCKET 370 PPGA!
I'm trying to put the max cpu in here while I can.
It's a Soyo SY-7IZB+ I think. It's an AT board.
Right now it has a 400mhz on a 75mhz bus (450 mhz).
I was hoping the 533 on the 75mhz bus would do 600.
Anyone?
