Where can I get a new chipset fan for a Shuttle AK31A?

This kinda annoys me. I got a Shuttle AK31A about 2 weeks (yes, 2 WEEKS) ago and the fan on the chipset died today. It hardly spins at all now. I don't feel like RMAing the board. I just want to buy a new, higher quality fan. Where can I get one that I can just put in its place (will have to be the same size)? Thanks.

Would this Zalman Chipset Cooler work? It certainly would be quiet.
Vantec also makes a chipset cooler with a fan.

I think I will put a fan on it since that is the way it came. Also, it already has a heatsink. I just need another fan. I think the dimensions of the original are 10x40x40.

If you do a search on Google for 40mm fans you will find a bunch. Plycon sell a Sunon, though at 7300 rpm and 30.5dBA it sure looks like a screamer.

You might want to look around in the For Sale forum first. I remember coming across a couple of 40x10s when I was looking for my own replacement fan (25x10) and it might even be cheaper in the forums than from a vendor.

Remove sticker on fan, drop some teflon oil on the bushing, problem solved. I had the same problem with my 8K7A+ chipset fan on both systems.

I guess I should mention that I want a quiet one (It only needs to be adequate since I don't overclock). I also must have it by Thursday. I plan to order it tonight if I can find one. I don't need to use the system until Thursday but then I WILL need to. At least it picked the best possible day to die.

That's what I was about to say. My ASUS fan always just kind of "cuts off". Just lube it up and you should be ok.

BAh....just unplug the bitch..you dont need it, the heatsink will do just fine.

Umm... That is not a very big heatsink. I think I'll get another fan just to be safe.
