watch tv on my laptop through digital TV tuner with a tiny tiny antenna and the reception just doesn't allow any enjoyment. So I heard about the free digital tv converter thingy....now where can I get one? I don't mind paying as long as it's reasonable.

With digital OTA, you either get a signal or you don't. Are you saying the signal you currently get is constantly dropped? Or do you think that you have a digital tuner but it's really analog?

Either way - use a better antenna. 50 feet of lamp cord strung out the window works well. If you want to get all crazy install a pole for this purpose and stick an omni on top of it. Make sure you ground the pole.

about 20 dollars after the government rebate thing u sign up for..if thats still going.
does your laptop really have digital?
with digital theres no snow if you get a channel it comes in digital clean, its quite nice.
a roof top antenna is still best, it is over the air after all. the additional subchannels are nice to have.
and well hd is also nice, but a converter would obviously nerf it down to sd quality.
