Where can i get a copy of Novell?

Are you talking like an eval version of their server software. I think you can talk to them and they will send you one.

god man no, little green men running through Cat5 would be better then "NoHell" i recomend ANYTHING but novell.

i recomend ANYTHING but novell.

Maybe you missed the story about the server that had been lost for 4 years because some maintainence guys had put up drywall and hidden it. Anyway, it never crashed or lost a packet during these 4 years. It was running Novell. 😉

I believe they do also. One was sent to us because my predecessor had requested it. Not sure who you would contact.

We use it because of a contract mandate. Only at one location. I've not had a problem with it. Client is very easy to set up. Even RAS is easy, although slow.

Wow. That is impressive. I'm not pro or con on Novell. Aside from my current position, I've used it before at another job I worked at. Always served it's purpose.

I used novell 3.1-3.2x. It was a truly solid server os. Although it didn't support all the latest new advances (Like UDMA 66 drives and such) it was still almost as solid as a linux box. I managed 3 of these servers for about a year. Not once did I find a problem that wasn't caused by either hardware failure or misconfigured add-on software.

That is the most ignorant comment I have ever seen in this forum.

MassMhz: Look in the phone book and find a consulting company that has Novell logo in their ad. They should have plenty of evaluation media, including a server+5-user license. And they might be able to help you get it running if you have trouble.
