I was told to just go to the courthouse, tell them what county you were born in, and they hook you up. However, I was born in South Korea. I was born in American citizen though. Any ideas?
My suggestion is to gather up as much information about yourself and your family as you can, full names of siblings, parents, grandparents as you can and then do a search with the help of perhaps a mormon who is knowledgeable about family search. That way you may find the source of your records.
I live here in Utah, and it is a mission and calling on all members of the LDS Church to do geneology. You need not be a member to use their facilities or sources for your search. They would be happy to assist you.
i'm assuming this is for a passport spoooon? if so, your american citizenship papers work for it as well. if not, i would suggest talking to the embassy from south korea and finding out about it.
Well, I'm going on a trip to Mexico. I need either a passport or a birth certificate. I don't want to bring the original with me. I just want to get a certified copy. Do I just take the original with me to the court house or to a public notary? I was just going to get another passport, since my old one expired. But I was told that they were a lot more expensive now than they used to be. Is that true?
Last time I went to Mexico, I didnt need anything but a valid drivers Liscense with photo. Are you going by ship or car?
Mexico and the Bahamas used to take expired passports as well. They are not as expensive to renew as geting in the first place except if expired and then I dont know.
Courthouse can give you official copies. You only need impressed seal.
I'm going by plane. A week of beaches, clubs, and drinking in Acapulco. Well, the exact place of birth is Suwon. However, my birth certificate says Seoul. And it's signed by some manner of embassy official from the US.
