Where can I get a 5.25 inch floppy drive?

I'm having trouble finding a 5.25 inch floppy drive. I have a new PC so I need to be able to actually connect it. I can't find one online that I can confirm is actually compatible. I need to read about a dozen 5.25 inch floppies.

I found 4-5 on ebay but there's no way to tell if they're compatible. They're all vintage.

Does anyone know of any service where you can ship your 5.25 floppies and have the data put on a CD?

Usually, you get a 5.25" sled with rails that holds a 3.5" drive. They used to be common as dirt. I have a couple unused in the closet. 🙂

except he has 5.25" drives

OK - he has 5.25-in floppies. I have a few boxes of those also. Those drives came in two flavors - DD and HD. He said he was looking for 5.25-in drives. I may have one of those in the closet too. But - there's always E-Bay or - a local Computer Renaissance Shop - used hardware, etc.

Given a choice, go for the HD drive, because they are backward compatible for DDs.

Here's what you want - buy it now on EBay for $20. Double sided, high density drive, 5.25":
