Where can I get 650I; How to upgrade??

Want to build a new system with Nvidia Ultimate 650I. Who makes them and where can I get it? Been looking at other boards and comments on Newegg and all seem to have problems. Really surprised that there were sound and legacy problems with Asus boards and heat problems with Gigabyte board. I need a stable board for a 6600 Core 2 that I will slightly overclock.

Also this is a dumb question but can I take a bootup hard drive from a P4p800 asus board running a Pentium 2.8 and get it to work in a new board with Core 2 cpu without reinstalling Windows XP and all my programs. I have a zillion programs and really don't want to reinstall . What is easiest way to upgrade?

running an xp on another motherboard is a bad idea the chipset is different and it probably blue screen on bootup as there the wrong drivers.

there are solutiions such as installing driverpacks to cover lots of hardware but it simpler to wipe xp and install again but you could one good solution is to install another xp on the same drive on your core alongside the existing xp then transfer all your existing data once you inside your new xp from old xp into new xp then delete old xp folder. installing xp on conroe only takes 10 mins!

Thanks for the tips. Don't know if I want to wait til December. What's the best Core 2 board for under $150?

I've usually had issues doing a repair install of XP if you've previously had SP2+some updates and go back to SP1. Gave me some errors and such.
