My roomate has an Acer Travelmate 600 series.

He's looking for a couple items.

He wants:

Video projector
DVD burner
PC/MCIA Audio Interface with 4 Channels/VAR input + output/balanced XLR cables for mixing and recording


He's working on a budget so he's looking for either killer deals or low-end stuff (preferably both )

Any help please? (where can I find these items? I've been checking newegg and google)

For DVD burner option.... Get a cheap DVD burner and external drive casing on eBay and build one yourself.

I got my Lite-On DVD+-R on Best Buy Black Friday sales - $80 after MIR.
External USB2 / firewire drive casing on eBay for $40.

That's all I can think of. Good luck!
 
Anybody know where I can get a Video projector (other than stealing it from a university 🙂 )

Also his laptop has a CD-R drive that is removable, i was kinda looking for another one of those types of drives vs external (he already has an Ext HDD, and would rather get rid of his old 4x CD-R drive and put in a DVD burner in it's place)
 
If you are under budget, external DVD burner might be your best bet. Even a build-in CD burner cost a fortune, not to mention build-in DVD burner.

There is no cheap video projector out there in the market. Just steal from school and make your life easier. 😛
