I really want to get ahold of this great board but I can't find it anywhere! Any companies located in Canada would be strongly preferred. Please help! :)

I got mine from Mwave. They're really quick sending stuff off, and have a real good rep.

I decided last Monday morning that while I was building it on Wednesday a new video card would be nicer to use in a fresh install then adding it later, and having to clean the registry. So while shopping I decided I wanted the GF2 Ultra.

Newegg had one (Leadtek WinFast) for a little cheaper then Mwave, but wanted $30 for overnight shipping, which I felt I would need since they say 1-2 days to process an order. So I called em, and asked if I'd have it by Wednesday, and they said no at first, then after I asked for a supervisor they said "most likely". They did say I could refuse it if it didn't come on time at no penalty, but I wanted it that day (had to work Thur-Sat, and had plans Sunday). They said just order online, and you should be okay.

I checked Mwave, and their site said that orders recieved by noon PST get out that same day. Their 2 day Fed Ex was only $20 for the VC, and a Soyo mobo I ordered at the same time. The guy on the phone (Rapheal) told me not to waste money on overnight shipping, and that it would be here for sure on Wednesday if I ordered by noon. He also said I should call him back, and order to make sure.

So I went shopping for my mobo, and called him at 1:30 pm EST. I had em both at 2 pm EST on Wednesday.

I've ordered from both with success, as have my friends, and many people on this BBS, but after that experience. I'll be leaning towards Mwave from now on. If they ship to Canada check em out. Give them a call even. They're without a doubt one of the best companies I've dealt w/ on the web.

Not saying Newegg sucks, and I'd still order from them to get a deal, just saying you may save on shipping, and that they'll (Mwave.com) come through quickly for ya.

Good luck :)

From Mwave FAQ:

Canadian Orders
Yes, we do ship to Canada! However, it is classified as international, therefore we can not accept credit cards. The only billing method available for Canada, is by wire transfer.

Ya, they do ship to Canada but don't except Canadian Credit Cards :(
They have great prices and no doubt have it in stock.
BTW, how would you go about cleaning your registry like you were saying. I know this question os off topic, but that's one thing I think my comp needs right now :)

I used a guide from an ATI site to clear out my registry of my old Radeon drivers.

You'd be better off asking this question in the Video forum really. I'd have to dig through my registery to remember how to do it to be quite honest.

It's not that hard though really. :)

I just wanted the Super Fresh Install on my new rig, since I was going off anyway (Epox, 1.2 T-Bird, 512Mb DDR, etc.). :)

Go GF2 Ultra, or GF3, and you'll be pleasantly amazed at how sweet it is. :)

I know me, and my bud were when it was done. I saw colors in both 3D Mark 2000, and 2001 I'd never even seen w/ either my Voodoo 5500, or my Radeon LE (hacked of course). I love this card, and the 2-D (my biggest worry) is more then up to the job. :)
