Where can I find the 12.90 drivers?

go to the display properties then adapter. Theres a button that says change. Click that and point windows to the folder where you unzipped the driver pack and windows will do the rest.
 
Um there is no program to install them, make your current display adaptor a standard vga adaptor
reboot the system into safe mode delete the old geforce card from system properties display adaptor,reboot normally then go into display properties change the display adaptor, say have disk and point to the folder with the 12.9 drivers in it and you should be all set!
 
m2super - If he boots into Safe Mode won't his vid card show as standard VGA as the drivers arent loaded for the nvidia in safe mode? This wouldnt allow him to actually remove the vid card so to speak, yeah? Been a long time since i played with Win98 fraid :/
