so starbucks isnt free and mcdonalds is?

also i like how ATT offers "over 15,000 wifi hotspots to use when you sign up for this internet package" and then they go and list mcdonalds on there. Its free anyway? f them

it isnt free (without an AT&T login) at the ones around me in DFW and PHX (assume similar results nationwide). starbucks is also part of the AT&T, but they have a special deal with their starbucks card holders to get it for free. Barnes & Nobles with AT&T. Some airports, some hotels, your friendly neighbor, etc..

Some McDonald's are free. I had to pay $3 to use it at a McDonald's in Denver.

usually all the panera bread places ive been to have free wifi. hell even some shop in my mall had free wifi (weirdly, or that was just an open network).

by far, the most unusual place that ive ever had free wifi is at subway. i dont remember which one it was, but i do remember it was in downtown chicago...

Yup, and Starbucks is not free.

It is if you are an AT&T DSL or FIOS customer, or if you have an iPhone. The logon process is a bit of a pain, though.
