Hello.
After becoming re-interested in linux, I thought about the distros, and chose Mandrake 10.1 Official.
I downloaded the dvd image, checked the md5 sum, and then burned it.
However, when I try to install Mandrake on a 40GB drive (my only other disk is a 160GB WindowsXP drive) on my VT6410 (configured as IDE, of course), it won't find the drive!
I have googled and looked around, but everything I found didn't seem to work.
I tried to use one of the pre-compiled disks that I found at VIA's site, but it didn't work.
Does anyone have drivers for this controller? The kernel of 10.1 Official is 2.6.8.1-12mdk, if the helps.
If I can't find any drivers, I suppose I'll give FC3 a try...will it support the VT6410?
