Oh, like real brands? Nobody sells 'em cheap. Sam's probably the closest.

If you just want something to cover the baby's butt, Albertson's store brand is dirt cheap and works better than any of the national brands IMHO. But if it's a gift, you prolly don't want to do that.

I'm thinking if I get the expensive stuff, I can only get them about 2 bags....if I get the cheap stuff, I can get them a case :D

Yep, almost had a stroke one day when I figured out that between day care & diapers I could have freaking leased a Mercedes instead:(

Well, it's up to you... I guess it depends on the relationship you have with the people, or whether the parents are the type who would be offended. I wouldn't be if someone dropped off a case of store brand diapers! I'd be "Woot! Another couple weeks I don't have to buy any!!!" :D

Our baby is getting to the Pull-Ups stage now, so we're having to phase out the cheap diapers. :( She's a little over 1 and already uses the potty. :D My son didn't use it consistently until he was over 2.

actually i found that between wal-mart. target, K-mart, sams club and costco the price really is the same. Granted you can buy 200+ packs at sams club and costco but the cost per diaper is about the same. Sometimes sams club is 2-3 cents MORE.

the only cheap one i would avoid is white cloud. Man they suck. it would leave little white pellets on my daughter. we get pampers baby dry bottom. We used to get huggies ultratrim when she was a baby. She was a real tiny baby and they seemed to fit great. But now even the same size as the pampers they are still tiny. She has blowouts more with them.

I have a bunch of used ones (currently stored in a diaper genie) you can have for the cost of shipping... ;)

Walmart seems to have fair prices. Just buy them some from a place that they can return them. We had to try a few brands to see what fit best, and settled on Pampers. Not all kids are shaped the same, and pampers worked. Their expensive model has been rated the best for containment and met that challenge for our daughter, the extra buck or two a pack of insurance is worth it to me, explosive diapers = bad news.

Anyway, you can buy the cheap brand, just get them somewhere the parents can exchange them if they want to, walmart, target and most grocery stores will let you exchange unopened ones.
