I am looking to find a website or info on reliability ratings for pickup trucks made in the last 5 years or so as I am looking to get one most likely used. I would get a honda b/c i really like honda but they don't have any except the new expensive ridgeline one. I want something with numbers or some kind of decent analysis, not just anecdotes and 10 people saying whether their car works or not.

Any ideas? Consumer reports you have to pay for, and I want it to be free. Thanks....and if anyone wants to just throw in a suggestion for a reliable and common truck I could get for around 10k, that'd be cool too.....
 
Not for work but I find myself hauling a lot of stuff. I do a lot of landscaping and I can tell it'd be handy for that and lots of other stuff. Right now I've got a hatchback and it's not getting the job done, I was thinking I could sell it and then keep some of the money and use the rest to get a truck. Gas thing is a good point, I guess I am aiming for something on the smaller end with decent gas mileage.
 
You can always get a Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and get one of those rubber cargo mats to protect the carpet from water/soil.

Otherwise, you need to be more specific on the size of the truck. Are you looking for a lightweight pickup (Ford Ranger/Chevy S10), something midsized? Or maybe a longbed half-ton pickup...

Depending on which type you're looking for, it'll make a big difference on your options and it should be a pretty clear decision based on that. If you think you'll drive it into the ground and don't care about resale value, go with a Dodge Dakota... 😉
