I'm trying to build a camcorder stabilizer, I can't seem to find good big bearings are hardware stores or anything. Skateboard shops have small bearings that don't fit my needs.

stumped :(, I'd rather not get bearings online for sizing reasons, doh

I don't know of any retail stores that would just sell bearings. You may want to talk to a local machine shop or something and ask if they purchase bearings, and if so, from who. We get bearings from a German company called F AG (yeah I know, I laugh too, www.f ag.de, btw). The spaces are there because the forum censors the f*g word.

Oh, and your bearing search will be much easier if you know the exact specifications of the bearing you want. Chances are somebody has an precise match.

Well I know here in town (Eugene Oregone) there are at least two bearing supply houses.
Where you are I'm sure there are quite a few! Look in the yellow pages under bearings!
