Where can I find a Silverado?

Does anyone know where I can find a Noisecontrol Silverado? I have yet been unable to find one commercially and missed the one for sale in the forsale/trade forum by a couple days. Commercial channels preferred, but will buy from individuals too.

I have no experience with Zalman, but have a Silverado. It is definitely quiet, and cools quite well. But it sure is one heavy mother.

Yeah, agreed. I would like to know about any other suggested HSFs before I drop $90US (shipped) on one.

your right, i don't have experience w/ either of those hs. my opinion is based solely on price and the reviews i've read.

A friend of mine has the Silverado and it cools great for him. He is running the fans at 12 volt though and therefore they do produce some noise but IMO less than most coolers (much less than the stock fan on my Taisol 760092). His average temp is 30-35 C on a Duron 800@1000 at 1.85 Vcore, Abit KT7A-Raid

His biggest complain about the cooler is that the clip doesn't keep the cooler very firm mounted and allows it to slide on the cpu (or maybe it is him applying too much goo

Some people did not like Tom's review so here is another for you of the silverado. No one said it was the best of the bunch for overclocking just that it is a good quiet cooler. Some of us would like to preserve our hearing, what little of it there is left.
I would like to point out that I have not tried this cooler my self but I know people who have and they seem very satisfied.

oom -- be careful. I've got an FOP-38 right now and I'm having serious noise issues now. I just recently bought a pair of earplugs and am starting to get fed up with it. I originally thought it might be kinda cool to have a loud HSF (pseudo-bragging rights), but it just sucks. I'd suggest ppl stay away from it unless it's gonna get confined into a server/machine room somewhere.

how bout this.

i got the WBK w/ an 40 cfm 80 mm fan on it. i doubt your going to get a better price / noise / performance ratio anywhere.
