Remember the old school cases? They had those keylock switches that prevents someone from using the computer? Where can I find one of those? I need one for a project on my car.

Anyone have some old cases laying around with two keys?

(Gosh, I haven't been here in forever!)

If all you want is the keyed locking bit. NAPA or maybe PepBoys would have it.

About the size of the end of your index finger, takes a key and has a little bent locking tab on the end. Costs < $4.

bgmicro.com usually has stuff like that. but if you can save shipping by going to an auto supply store... OTOH, if you have some other stuff you need to get to justify the shipping expense, their key switches are less than a buck each.

I don't need just a lock like one for a cabinet drawer. I need the electronic switch that comes with it. I'm gonna use it for a Line Lock on my car so I can guarantee it won't be accidentally activated during normal driving.

BGMicro has them! Thanks!

Automotive parts stores do have them too, but they would likely be a bit heavy-duty for your neeeds. OTOH, maybe not that heavy as often will be driving a heavy load via a relay so the switch itself need not be too heavy. Radio Shack and other electronics parts stores will have them too.
