Where can I find a good site with past/present/future CPU info??

I'm doing a research paper on past, present, and mostly future CPU technologies. Does anyone know some good sites that will give info on this. Such as the main differences between 8086/286/386/etc and also info on what Intel,AMD, and other chip manufacturers are working on for their future designs?

Try www.sandpile.org - you'll find a large (yet very techy) database on past and present processors, and competent people (including me on their discussion forum for your CPU related questions.
