Where can I find a good relatively inexpensive cooking set

I am really starting to get into cooking but all I have are a couple of crappy old pots and pans so I am looking into getting a cooking set. The more pieces the better, and I'd like for them to be nonstick. Really $200 would probably be around the upper limit of what I would be willing to spend, unless there is something more that is really worth it.

Also, what about a rice cooker and crock pot? And are there any other cool cooking instruments to look into? Do bread makers work well?

Garbage day on Snob Hill.
Beside a Sally Anne drop-off locale
Sears

I'd stay away from a complete set of non-stick personally. Buy some 18-10 stainless steel pots(copper plated bottom preferably) and a couple frying pans(one non-stick). It's often not that much more to buy seperately if you find them on sale. Oh yeah, get a Wok.

Cheap and decent cooking sets can be found a Kohl's, Target, and the like. A crock pot is a MUST have.

Buy stainless steel, don't get a nonstick set. You should only use nonstick cookware when you have no other choice (ie you don't want something to stick but have no other means of preventing it, lack of materials, lack of skill, etc.)

Ok, I'm a newb at cooking and all of this. Why would stainless steel be better than nonstick? I love the nonstick pan that I have because it is so easy to clean, but I have never cooked using a stainless steel pot.
