Where can I find a few of these on the cheap: Ethernet pair splitters

oh yeah, bad juju. I just troubleshot a connectivity issue at a school with some existing wiring. It had cat 5 broke down to two jacks, and it was broken. I ran fresh wire and taped over that crap.

tape a couple of cat 6 to the exisitng wire and drag in some proper runs. You know better!😛

110 year old house. I'm going to count my blessings that I have CAT5 strung throughout and I'd like to split off one of the trunks without having to mess with my nice permanent stuff...

You can buy a switch for virtually the same price as you would be able to buy a splitter. Cheap switches can be had for 15 bucks. I wouldn't know how much splitters are because, well I wouldn't use them, but I doubt their much cheaper than that.

I don't think you understand what these are used for.

A splitter? Duh, huh, huh, huh. Yeah, I do. Perhaps they are very inexpensive. I'd still use a cheap switch instead of splitting an ethernet run personally but to each his own. Knock yoself out.
