I'm building a PC for a friend and one of her requirements is that the case must be BLUE (or at least have some blue on it). Can anyone help point me in the right direction to track down such an animal????

Thanks, I really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try going to a search site like Pricewatch and doing a search for "blue ATX case". You'll get a listing of blue cases sold by online vendors.

Thanks bigsmooth!!! I use PriceWatch all the time but never thought to enter it that way. I found several, thank you!

That was dumb, I'm sorry to ask a question without researching it first. I know better! What a newbie thing to do!!! :( :|

That's ok... I tried a search for "blue case" first and it gave me about 500 pages of stuff, mostly jewel cases...

You can always paint it ;) I'm painting one now using some metallic blue Rustoleum and it's sweet - we'll see how it looks after it's done tho...

ZeroBurn, I took a few quick shots of my blue case - sorry the lighting in my room sucks so it looks like there's a bunch of white dots all over the case in a couple of the pictures (the metal flakes in the paint reflected the flash).

This is the first coat, I still need to wet-sand and repaint, then clear-coat it to protect the finish. Already I've scratched one side of the case, so the clear coat looks like a must-have. :p

The holes are for fans obviously, the top will have a 120mm blowhole and the side will have an 80mm intake right over the CPU. I don't really have the money to spend on a hole saw, so I had to use a jigsaw. It took a little more work to make smooth, but I feel pretty good about it.

Eventually I'll actually finish the project and post some more pics in the Cases&Cooling section ;)

Pics (so far) of my blue case

personally I like that idea the best, plus you don't have to compromise getting a case that your not sure on the quality of. this way you can get a case you know is good and make it pretty.
