can't find the actual driver on google. Also, can anyone give me a link for the pc software i need to load up onto my comp to be able to change ringtones, images, menus, etc...

you have the usb cable? What you need is motorola phonetools but it's not free software. However there are NOT multiple links on howardforums.com to download said software illegally.

yes, you downloaded the upgrade.. need something to upgrade... namely 1.23... which is named mmpt_1.23c_EN.zip which cannot be googled.
The driver and the software iis on the CD that came with the phone. It was inside my V3 box, and inside my E398 box.
