Where can I download older version of firmware for my router?

I've got a D-Link DI-624 router that has worked pretty well for me for a few years. I was on v2.70 firmware I believe and decided to pop over to D-Link's site to see if there was an update. Lo and behold, v2.75 was there. I installed it.

Then Satan came and ate the router.

Basically, I cannot change half of the functions on my router and it dips on and offline every 5 seconds now. I can reset the router to go back to the original firmware but that's ancient. I looked all over D-Link's website and FTP site, but cannot find previous version firmwares -- only current. I finally bit the bullet and called their technical support... if that's what you want to call it. And was told: "you cannot downgrade your firmware, you are stuck with 2.75." I hung up.

Anyone know where I can get ahold of older firmware? Thanks.

I'm gonna look right now, but ditto here.

I have a DI-524 that worked fine (if not a little sluggish occasionally) so I figured I'd make things "BETTER" by d/ling newer firmware, right??

WTF was I thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :|

Went from the original 1.03 firmware to 1.23 and the thing won't connect to the internet for NUTTIN'!!!!

Dlink (if they used to) does not show how the !@#%!~ to get back to older firmware!!! Mother !#$^!%$~@^~^~#@$~!$@^~#%^!@#$~$~%$ :| :| :|

Suture, I have a DI-624 running v2.76 and it's very stable. Maybe we have different hardware revisions.
One thing I've noticed w/ these DLinks (and maybe other brands too) is that after the firmware upgrade, you may need to clean out your web browser cache before you login to the router.
Newer firmware have different path to the links so you'll get unpredictable results if you don't flush your cache.

redgtxdi, I've encountered the same issue w/ a DI-524. Many other people too so I think DLink just have a big batch of bad DI-524s out there...try a different model or brand. good luck.

redgtxdi, if your di-524 is revision D, you can try the firmware for WBR-1310 (the newer black router from d-link). They're the same inside.
I had a problem with di-524 as it refused to restart after any setting changes (required a hard reset everytime). The problem disappeared w/ the WBR-1310 firmware.

Well, just a 'heads up'.

I found some old firmware (the original 1.03 my revA came with) over on dslreports and was able to flash back with success!!!

Router's working fine now!!!

What's really hilarious is that apparently the RevA's w/ 1.03 must not all be the same 'cuz Dlink hosts' 1.23 as if it's the 'end all' and obviously it's not. Maybe they should reconsider hosting the other firmwares........(especially the reliable ones the routers were originally packaged with, eh??)

Grrrrrrrrr!!!!

Thanks for the responses gang!!
