Where can I download IE6 and save it on my PC?

Need to update GF's computer and she has no broadband. Is there a corporate Windows update website that will let me save IE6 ?

Used to be you downloaded the setup program (60K or whatever) and it had an option to download just the files and not install. Not sure if they've changed that.

read his post. that's not what he wants as that is only the .5mg file that downloads the 25mg file.

That stupid little program checks what version I have(sp1 IE6) on my PC and then refuses to download saying I already have the latest version.

You can usually find it on other software's installation CDs. It is on the Earthlink Total Access CD. I'm sure it's on the AOL 9.0 Installation CD as well. Then there's Quicken, and Tax Cut, and just about everything else out there.

Download the setup file, place it in a directory. Open up command prompt and run: ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d:1 /s:""#E" And it'll download the whole IE6 platform for every platform.

The difference being the d switch. d on it's own is the current platform you are on when you run it. d:1 is for all platforms.

nope you didn't tell me about the switches and how to get IE6 for all different flavors of windows .
