I have a high point raid controller installed, but i seem to have misplaced the software. I have the driver installed, but it won't work without the software. Anywhere where i can download it? Also, urgent, goes along with the fact i have 15 minutes or so. maybe somebody has the same thing, and could upload it to somewhere for me? Thanks

All I've ever had to install was the driver... I don't even think I have software for mine.

how do i get raid to work then? i need to get it to have two identical drives. usually with the software i pressed i think a button that said raid on it, and it copied the drive onto the other one. so idk what to do without the software.

When my system boots, there is a Highpoint prompt... asks me to either press a key to enter RAID setup, or just continue to boot normally by not pressing anything.

i get that too, and i set up a mirrored raid, but does it raid automatically now all the time? i just don't have very much experiance with raid yet.

I have no idea. I don't know anything about actually using RAID. I use my RAID channels as extra IDE channels. I just know how to get INTO the setup. After that, I can't help. Sorry :(

Both of my boxes have Raid

One High Point one Promise. You do have to set them up differently depending on which controller you have. With the high point one you have to have a different ribbon cable going to each drive with both set as master, with the promise one, you set them as master and slave on the same cable. Your BIOS should them recognize them as long as you have RAID enabled in the BIOS.

yes. you are done. forget about it.

in the future, get software and drivers from the manufacturers website.
