I've looked around and I can't find squat!

Can someone hook me up??

Also, do any mirrors exist for www.msclinux.com ftp/http site?? They just released their new distro and I want get it but I think the server swamped.

thanks!🙂

AFAIK Suse doesn't offer ISO images for download, but you could download all the stuff bit by bit but not in an ISO image. I too looked for these images and got flamed here for even asking asking about them so I went out and bought the last ones in a Pro pack. As for Redhat the last post gave a good link also try Redhats ftp servers.

About the only SuSE download you will ever get is thier "Live CD" download, an evaluation version that ONLY runs from CD..Fortunately, thier "retail boxed" versions are very reasonably priced and come with great documentation. 🙂

Well...I'm downloading MSC's linux distro right now...hopefully I be able to snag the App disk iso after this.

As for the beta iso's...I know all about the linuxios.org...but they didn't have the slipjack when I last checked...a couple days after the announcement. So I'll get those right after msclinux is done.

I heard SUSE 8.0 beta were available for download somewhere or other.

thanks!

Or he could try doing a SuSe install via ftp. I haven't tried it since I rather buy the cd's myself but that's another option other then downloading a Evaluation ISO.

I'm pretty sure SuSE's beta is closed.

I've installed SuSE from FTP a few times before. It works quite well, except that in the past it was limited to text-only (and not the graphical yast2 installer).

You need to have the necessary bandwidth to suck down about 500 MB for a typical installation. Like NorthenLove mentions, installing from SuSE's DVD is ideal. =)
