where can i dispose old computer parts?

i have a bin with alot of computer and electronic parts that i want to toss away... where is it best to dump this stuff or can i just chunk them all in the garbage?

a bunch of old school style KVMs (mouve/kb/monitor into 15-30pin style adapter)... 2/3/4 machines supported

a handful of routers..... then everything else is really junk (32mb 72pin ram, k6-2 400 cpu, pentium 2s, etc)

im taking over as admin here and there's a closet of old stuff so i had to chunk them away. honestly i think about 50% are functional... if you guys want to give them a go i'll just give them away for shipping charges... ill take a quick pic

Belkin 4-port router. VERIFIED WORKING.... i bought it refurb from belkin for 30$.. dont need it
ZIP Drive... 50% chance. has a zip disc inside
8X CD-ROM Drive. 25% chance
black QPS 24X CD-RW Drive. VERIFIED WORKING. it was mine.. 10% of the discs it burns dont read so well, but otherwise its pretty much functional
50X CD-ROM drive. 25% chance
2 SOHO 8-port Switches. i had full documentation and boxes but i chunked them already. im 80% sure they are functional.

that's where you're wrong. Seriously, try ebay, you'll be suprised as to how much you could actually get for that "junk".
