where can i buy toner ink for my inkjet printer cheap?

Most B&M don't give any kind of decent discount on clone tanks or refilled carts (which is what is mostly out there for HP). All ink is high-margin stockat B&M.

.bh.

Try looking for Lasermonks. They're a Cistercian order that sells at pretty low cost ink and toner cartridges.

Its a pretty ill defined question. First toner is what is used in laser printers---and ink is used in inkjets. Then it fails to state
what is needed---just the ink itself---or the ink vended in the form of a refilled non-OEM cartridge you can put into the printer.
Then it fails to state printer make and model and what type printing will be done. And also fails to state the OP's general location.

But some rules of thumb (1) Since the various printer makers use ink the varies in viscosity and other factors, get an ink blended for your brand printer---and avoid any generic ink that says it will work in all printers. (2) Once you have an ink that will safely flow through the printer---then you worry about color balance---not too critical for some printing---but if you are doing photoprinting---its super critical. (3) Very few people live close to decent retail outlets for ink---its mostly on line or by mail order---but being in the US helps---someone who lives in say Australia does not always have access to the same suppliers.

But if you want to find a place where ink is discussed at leagth---try nifty stuff forums or steves forums.

In eight or so posts we have at least five different posters touting totally different outfits. I am
fairly knowlegable about ink suppliers---but I have never heard of some of them. Which is not say
that an outfit I never heard of is good or bad----but if you have nothing to guide you other than word
of mouth, are you not buying a pig in the poke?---and this is also complicated by various paid posters
who run around various forums posting about how wonderous some given company is---and this does happen
with inkjet vendors--although I don't think its happening on this thread.

So the question becomes---how do you decide which inkjet vendor to deal with?---out of the thousands of vendors
out there.

I certainly want something tested by multiple unbiased users---hopefully on a scientific basis---side by side with other vendors.---you will by in large only find that on the nifty stuff forums. I will also note that price does not seem to be a good predictor of quality---and also understand the outfit vending the ink seldom makes the ink---so if they switch suppliers, their quality could go from good to terrible or vice versa--in short--if they switch suppliers---you want to know
if you are depending on consistancy.---and without a toll free number or e-mail that they respond to---how will you know? The other joker with mail order shipping is that the shipping cost kills the savings you get unless you put in a fairly large order---so you better trust the outfit you are dealing with---and will that trust be based on faith alone or on good information?---and you sure don't want to play you bet your printhead on a Canon or Epson printer with some fly by night outfit because you stumbled on the tout of some yo yo you never heard of on some forum.

But ink for ink jets vended in the form of OEM cartridges is really high profit stuff for the printer manufacters. If you cost it out---it varies from a low of $2500 per US gallon of usable ink to a high well over $10,000 a US gallon---with the gallon just being an arbitrary unit I am choosing---yet you can get TOP quality ink retail from third parties for under $100.00 a gallon retail in any color, but expect to pay more like $150-225.00 per US gallon when you buy in more usable quanities
like 4 to 8 ounces bottles.

Rather than tout just one ink---I will sort of throw out what is the consensus advice from the nifty stuff forums and say the
there is agreement on what they refer to as the big three----ink from MIS, formulalabs, and hobbicolors are all very safe to use and have excellent color balance---and many also like G&G inks for ink vended in the form of third party cartridges.
I will also note that hobbicolors vends mostly on ebay---and makes ink for only canon printers--while formulalabs and MIS
make different ink for various printer brands and often vends through other outfits that will often advertise their inks are made by them.
