Meh. Usually I'm the first one to swallow my balls and ask/approach/whatever a girl.

But it seems that I've exhausted (or buried under a heap of responsibility) my supply of confidence and can't even bring myself to more than smalltalk a few days a week.

I'll tell you - it's hard as hell being single and
-commuting (12hrs/wk)
-class (14hrs/wk)
-class-related stuff (42hrs/wk)
-work (20hrs/wk)
-sleep (35hrs/wk)
-volunteer work (14hrs/wk)
-time wasted on campus because I'm stuck there (15hrs/wk). Usually used to nef and occasionally to socialize
-weekly Dennys meet for above volunteer group (3hrs/wk)
-time spent getting ready to go to class every morning (5hrs/wk)

That totals to 160hrs. Which leaves me exactly 8 free hours every week.

The girl in which I am interested is in Delaware. Subtract between 2 and 4 hours simply to get within visual range of her (and then back when I'm done). That leaves me a great 4-6hrs to have my way with her or whatever. No prob, right?

Wrong. Those 8 hours are spread throughout the week and don't simply occur in one solid block.

So... It's mathematically impossible for me to have any type of meaningful romantic relationship with anyone I actually could give a damn about.

What do I cut back first?

Did you add up the time you waste on ATOT crying about women while simultaneously posting about all the sex you get on YAGT.org?

Make up your goddamned mind.

WEll, you will certainly cut back sleep to be with this girl until it catches up with you.
Then you will cut back on volunteer work unfortunately.
Then class-related stuff and your grades will suffer, but it is all in the name of love.

I don't think I can get by on any less. I cut back on that long ago. And I've also tried to cut back on commute time by increasing the power output on my engine thus allowing me to go faster, easier - but the lords have rebelled against my plans and a new 9-mile-long construction zone appeared today. For no fvcking good reason.

The sex ended weeks ago :(

Keep up.

And yes, this time is in there with the class-related stuff. Since that's technically what I'm doing. Word is... Uhhh... Down there

Sleep is already gone. Operating on a minimum. Cutting back on volunteer work wouldn't do jack - since I wouldn't even be able to get to the Delaware state line in any of the scheduling holes I could potentially create. Class-related definitely seems to be the way to go....

Answer: volunteer work

Which would accomplish nothing but removing my violent outlet (dude, I get to smash macs with a hammer! all in the name of charity!)

thats what i was thinking too, or is this volunteer work paying off in some other necesary way?

Filling time wasted on campus, providing violent outlet (smashing computers with hammers!), resume padding, I can pilfer random computer components to add to my collection (Today I got a rare G3=>G4 upgrade CPU), and chicks dig this kind of sh!t.

Meh, 3hrs after work on Thursday night ain't gonna change anything, either. At the location I'm at from the beginning of the meet (work), it'd take a good 2hrs to hit Delaware.

Maybe it could buy me some sleep (and a slightly extended life from not being subject to Dennys food). But I don't know.

I think I've solidly scheduled myself into a hole this semester.

Move closer to school. Cut the volunteer work, unless absolutely necessary. Get ready for class faster, sleep more. Stop wasting time on campus, do your class related stuff there. Work more efficiently on the class related stuff, I highly doubt you need 42 hours a week for that unless it's finals week.

So there you have it, a lot more time. Life is too short, stop thinking you are wasting all your time.

Move = Teh noes. Can't. The financial ruin would greatly outweight this timing mess.
Cut volunteer work = useless, because that would just produce wasted time on campus
Get my ass out the door faster in the morning = Get canned from work for smelling like BO and not having showered for 3 days.
Class related stuff = Agreed, this is a fvcking recockulous amount of time. Unfortunately, 10 of those are locked in by group meetings for various projects I'm working on. So it's probably down to ~20-30. Which still doesn't help much (except my potential sanity).

Teh noes. I have 36 hours of class a week. And that's just lectures, tutorials and labs. Suck it up, and make time if you need to.
