Where can i find a place to buy a CPU pre-tested to OC to a certain clock speed? I'm lookin for a thunderbird 1.2 ddr that is guarenteed to hit at least 1.4 with say a $30-40 heatsink/fan combo. I dont mind paying more for it compared to a regular 1.2.

try compuwiz1 in the for sale/trade forum... i got my pretested tbird from him... real helpful and reliable guy, shipped promptly too... i believe he does have some 1.2 tbirds oc'ed to 1.4ghz

dood ygpm and please email me

anyways i figure this should have been in the forsale forum but then again it can be here too 🙂

Bonkers is an awesome trader, but I think he's been TEMP banned here, go to Hardware Central to see his OCed CPU's. I got a 700E from him and it doed 1000 @1.75v & all are Guaranteed to do what he says, Fast Shipping too!

Hey compuwiz1,
Do you have any 1.2ghz Thunderbird that hit 1.5ghz. Just curious. As soon as the KT266 boards are out I would like to talk to you about a Thunderbird. Also, are you planning on getting any 1.33 (266) Thunderbirds? Thanks.

you should try bonkers325. He's usually got damn good prices and nice CPUs. you can email him. Just do a search for him and find his email address.

about taking a untest chip and try to overcook it 🙂
i remember my old celeron 300a days, i bought 7 try to reach the 504. result
in 1 taht can hit that speed. think about the time spend in looking chip, extra bad chip, extra cooling(hs and fan). it actually cheaper and more practical to overclock your system
with a chip that you know will run a certain speed by quailfy people.
