A big tank :p

Old thread revived for who knows what reason with no new information - not that there could be.

You will need:

1. One, 25-foot garden hose
2. One, roll of Duct Tape
3. One, running vehicle w/internal combustion engine

Insert end of garden hose (1) into exhaust pipe of running vehicle (3).
Wrap duct tape (2) around exhaust pipe/hose combo to ensure a leak-free connection.

Insert other end of garden hose (1) into window of running vehicle (3.) Roll up window to ensure a leak-free connection. Enter running vehicle (3) and close door.

In about 10 minutes, you will have ALL the carbon monoxide of your dreams!

You can buy most chemical substances, but stuff like this will need a retailer for the chemical industry or a chemical laboratory. And even then you probably need to prove that you have a good reason for wanting to buy it (research for example).

I think I've heard of carbon monoxide generators being used to exterminate animals quickly. There also is apparently some use in the chemical industry. I found a link to this page in the Air Liquide website, but it doesn't get specific about the uses. Air Liquide

They will probably provide what you need as long as you are in the market for tons and tons of CO.

Yes, I used to work in a factory where we used a lot of bizzare gasses. Basically this stuff is made to order. You have to have a bunch of permits, hazmat training and certification, etc. The exception to this is for noble gasses for some reason (I guess since they're inert, they won't hurt anything). Good luck.

check with a welding supply place, they deal with some gases and may be able to direct you to a source

That $2600 price is probably for ultra-pure CO. If you can handle some impurities, you should be able to get a cylinder from somewhere else. You will also need to get a CO regulator though, and regulators can be expensive.

WTF do you want with a CO tank anyway?

close thread plz thx
i no longer need CO after looking at that price. :Q

So what DID you want a tank of CO for anyway? If you're planning on offing yourself, do what MichaelD suggested ;).

On a side note, I've heard that killing yourself this way leaves a "good-looking corpse". When they find you, your skin will have a nice rosy tint to it.
