Where can I buy a new car stereo faceplate?

eBay has had them before- but not now. I posted in want it now.

Google finds 1.729 billion ads for the radio and none for the faceplate alone.

Alpine.com finds me a supplier that would sell them for a C note if they had any left.

Help! Commuting with no tunes sucks!

My Apline has a code between the face and the unit that need to match in order for it to work. Have you checked into seeing if this is the case for yours?

ahurtt, I bought a car with no faceplate. The lady knocked $200 off the price for that, though, so no gripes here. I'd just like cheap tunes.

I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to go for a new stereo- which sucks 'cause I can pry $75 out of the budget for a faceplate but getting $150 for a whole unit is going to be harder.

Thank you all for the advice.

A headunit is useless without the original faceplate. They are designed this way to prevent people from stealing them.

Just buy a new deck.

um, faceplates tend to be well above $100. Just get a new deck, that way you won't have to worry about running into the possible problem with a security code between the base unit and the faceplate.
