Don't mess with acne. You'll just scar yourself and keep the acne going by spreading the oils and infecting bacteria to other pores.

Instead find what it is in your diet that is helping the acne flourish, and take a Zinc supplement.

Is this a blister or a zit? If it is a zit use a hot compress and it will help draw the puss and crap to the surface so it will be easier to pop. If it is a blister then any needle will do. After you pop it put some neosporine (sp) on it to help it heal and not get infected. If you don't have that listerine will do.

its a zit..

hmm thanks I will try that hot compress tip

Just make sure to clean it after to pop it! You need something that is antibacterial.

Why would you need a hypodermic needle for that? Planning on sucking it out with it?

sweing needle does not have a whole in the inside, so I guess its not as good

What advantage do you feel that a hole in the needle would give you?

it provides a place for the blood to flow...

maybe it doesnt do anything at all

Blood? I thought you were trying to get out the PUS. :p

Does your avatar resemble you in real life in any way? ;)

No way....there was a thread about an ass zit once....

Is that the one where it wasn't really a zit, but some kind of boil, and the doctor wouldn't lance it - and eventually it built up so much pressure it burst while he was sitting on the can? And it was gushing foul smelling fluid all over the place?

Why don't you try the old fashioned "Shower a bit more often and use better soap" and stop acne before it starts?

If it's on your face, wash your face a few times a day with a moisturizing soap and you'll have significantly less acne.

Yes, it has shown to make an improvement.

It may have to do with the fact that oil glands need zinc for production, and perhaps a lack of zinc makes the pores more habitable by the acne bacteria. I didn't read this, but I'm going to guess that acne is a problem for teenagers because the body uses up zinc to make testosterone, which goes into high production during puberty. Just a guess though.

I shower every morning, and I wash my face every night..

I think it has something to do with what I eat...

Face + Soap = more clogged pores, and increase in acne. Washing the face stimulates oil gland production.

You can rinse away excess oil a few times a day, but I wouldn't recommend soap. Just gently use warm water and a clean wash cloth. Oh yea, that reminds me - use a new wash cloth every day. Otherwise you're rewashing your face with the acne bacteria you washed out before.

Go to one of those skin places. They'll probably have what you need. If not, go to a skin doctor who will recommend a place. My mom used to work as a dermo and they would sell these little one time use needles. They'd have a thin plastic ball at the end you'd twist off when you'd use one.

They were pretty damn small and you'd just pucture the skin, and use this stick thingy with a space in the middle to press the zit. That'd force all of the crap to come out of the middle and you'd clean it with a q-tip or whatever.

So would you say if you wanked off a lot, you would have more zits? :p

No, because selenium is the more important mineral needed in sperm production, not zinc. Zinc increases maximum testerone potential, which in turn increase sperm production - but exhausting your sperm supply doesn't affect zinc levels since production stays the same. ;)

Sounds like more advice from some one who never actually had acne. Like people with bad acne never thought of washing their face.

If its bad, go to the dermatologist, they'll give you some antibiotics and/or perscription creams and they clear it up pretty good. Over the counter stuff does jack sh|t. I used to have it pretty bad before now its beaten back to almost nothing.

I would always lance the bad ones, they would start to hurt. Use a sewing needle, sterilize it with a lighter, cool it with water and put a small shallow prick on the top until a bit of puss comes out. Then squeeze the rest out from beneath. Put a little alcohol on afterwards, if you use a wab of wet toliet paper to soak up any excess bleeding it will clot on the inside and leave little noticable scab.
(damn, that was gross, LOL)

But go to the doctor if you have to do that a lot, they should be able to clear it up pretty well.
