you know the thing that hangs in your case by screws that you slide the hard drive into inside your case? mine only holds 2 3.5" hard drives and I need one that will hold at least 3. do they sell these? would it work with my case or not? am I just out of luck if my case didn't come with one?

Are you talking about internal bracket that lets you mount a 3.5" hard drive into a 5.25" bay? If so, you can get those anywhere - any local computer store should have it. I wouldn't waste the money on shipping to order one when you should be able to get it locally for under $5.

no, I'm talking about the metal bracket/casing that is built into your atx case, which you slide your hard drive into and screw it in to secure it. the one in my case only holds 2 hard drives, but I want one that will hold 3. see?

Ahh, I see. That's gonna be specific to your case. It's not a generic part or anything. You might want to check around you case manufacturers website and see if perhaps they have the same chassis but with more bays and maybe they'll sell you the proper cage, but I don't know if you'll have any luck there.

I know I can add another bay to my Antec SX840 case but I'd lose one of my case fans if I do so but I can only do this because the case was specifically designed to accomodate another bay.

I have some extra from an In-Win case. If that's the type of case you have, PM me.

Mine is the kind that doesn't have holes for screws but instead has these little nubs that you push into the holes of your devices and then slide the rail in. It's like a small clip action that holds the rail to the device. I like it because when you slide the device out all you do it pop the rail off. :)
