I've never heard of such a thing.

Back in the day I saw a couple combo 5.25/3.5" floppy combos, but never a CD/floppy combo.

Why the hell would you even bother?

[EDIT]Wonders never cease, figures it's a Compaq[/EDIT]

OK, for a laptop I can understand, it's gotta be a PITA having to choose between a CD & a floppy... But a desktop part?

Ok, I need this since I cant get a floppy drive to work in my PC, I tried 2 Drives with 2 Cables, I guess it is a problem with the mother board, that is why I need this. Thanks.

Are you sure the drives don't just have two cable interfaces (ie one IDE & one FDD)? If so you'd be SOL with this solution as well.

If I were in the same situation I'd look at an LS120 drive.

I doubt these drives both run off of the same cable. I imagine they are just two slimline drives in a single bay height enclosure.

No Idea what you just said lol. I guess they are IDE I meant I tried 2 drives with to different cables since I wanted to make sure the cables work right.

What I said was that IDE & floppy drives use different cable types. The odds are very good that you will STILL need the floppy header on your motherboard to use the drives you've been linked to.

An LS120 drive, however, is supported by any modern BIOS as a true floppy drive - even though it connects via IDE cables.

He means that the drives that I listed probably require both a floppy cable and a IDE cable so getting one won't solve your problem. You'd be better off getting a LS-120 floppy drive. It uses an IDE interface and can read both old 3.5" diskettes and new 120mb disketts.

how about a cd-rom/dvd-rom/cd-rw/dvd burner/floppy/zip/ls-120 all in one slim drive bay?
