Not a bad idea, but B&H had a date of 11-21.

I’m not in a super hurry (was planning on building over Christmas) and Newegg’s price was about $60 higher since I had to pay sales tax. I have no other components for the build outside of the PSU and a Blu-ray burner. I’ll have to think it over a little, I guess.

My guess is Newegg got a large-ish shipment, as this is the first time since launch I got an email about it being in stock from them.

So assuming it doesn't sell out at the current price, it should slowly drift back towards MSRP ($360).

Or it may not until after Christmas. We'll see.

Edit: OOS again. Guess it was just coincidence.

It would be nice if Intel offered some guidance on the supply situation - or if someone like digitimes got the scoop.

They won't; because then they would have to admit that they pulled in Coffee Lake just to mess with AMD. Things will get better when it gets closer to Coffee Lake's original launch in January.

Yeah, that's why I added the bit about Digitimes (or somebody else - please!). Looks like I'm waiting. It doesn't look like there are any good mid-priced (~$300) overclocking X299 boards so blah :(

Newegg has already shipped mine, I'll have it Friday. I have all of my components, except for a Blu-ray burner. I have been going crazy thinking about whether I need one of those. Anyway, you need to think fast.

I did away with the Blu-ray Burner on my recent build. I do not miss it a bit. I'll probably snag a cheap external if I need. It was really limiting my case choices.

Mine is waiting for me to pick up on the way home. You’re right, I do have to think fast because it seems volumes might be picking up. Maybe I should just do the easy thing and keep what I have and kill the B&H order. Decisions, decisions.

I’m thinking I might put my burner in an external case so I can move it around. However I really like the Cosmos C700p and know it would fit in that, but not sure I want a case that big. It rivals my Xigmatek Elysium in size.

Maybe its 499 Canadian ? newegg.ca it IS $499, but OOS

Mystery solved, I somehow signed up for price alerts through NowInStock.net for newegg.ca and didn't catch it in the URL. This also explains why I didn't always see notifications others were seeing!

Oh man...that's a bummer. If you are looking for one and are ok with the $420, they are in stock again now.

Edit: Sike...gone again. They are staying in stock longer everyday.

You'll get one now that you have that fixed, I'm confident! Almost daily texts now.

I realized on mine that I rushed through checkout just a little too fast and let the default of fedex ground go through. 8 days to deliver, darn, realized it the next day when I checked for tracking number. My Maximus X Hero and RAM just arrived on my desk at work. Bummed I can't put it together this weekend.

Good news, I got in yesterday on the big shipment that came in and mine is arriving tomorrow (assuming my wife doesn't reject the package when she sees NewEgg on it).

Finally got an order confirmation that one i7-8700K is on the way to me. I chose eggsaver shipping so I assume it will be awhile. Not excited about paying too much for the CPU ($419) and a new GPU I got last week (Vega 64) and memory is expensive also of course. But I haven't built a new PC since I put the i7-2600K in however many years ago, so I am excited. I am looking forward to pouring through these pages figuring out how to overclock again and all the heartache that may come with it :)
