Um, not sure if you're supposed to promote FS/FT threads in here, but if the mods allow it then whatever.

Sucks that you're gouging though.

I just posted an 8700k for sale in the For Sale / Trade section. It's posted a little bit high right now, but I am accepting all reasonable offers. It's first come first serve on it.

Yeah, I took a look and was interested until I saw the price. I’ll just wait for my B&H order to show up in a few weeks. Gives me time to decide on other components.

I figured I would set it a bit high and let people make me reasonable offers. I think I am going to drop it though.

Just got one. Thanks to the "distill" addon and the ding dong I was sitting here in bed and was checked out in 45 seconds. In fact it's still in stock as I type this post. Bonus that I got it ordered Monday so it will be here by Friday for my long weekend to finish building the system. Goodbye Sandy Bridge.. it's been fun!

Well crap, I missed it yet again.

FWIW, I used nowinstock.net - per recommendation by TahoeDust on page 4 - configured to send me SMS txt alerts, and made sure I left an open browser window logged into NewEgg all day while at work. The text msg arrives, I refresh newegg, add to cart, etc...

On Friday I got the text and had it in my cart, but had to login to my NewEgg account to check out which cost me the order (took too long). The way newegg is trickling these out, you kinda need to have everything ready like I did. Good luck!

Wow, I think I am giving up on CFL for the near term, at least. Clearly I don't want it enough if I won't sit in front of my screen refreshing the damn page. And now it's $420? That starts to make X299 look more attractive.

I ended up paying 538 for mine, it was micro center who was gouging. It was 499.99 + tax. Newegg has risen the price multiple times now and I see it increasing once more as well. I'm only asking 475 shipped for mine currently and I am accepting offers. They are going on ebay for 550-650 all day long. I was trying to let the duplicate go to a forum member though.

This markup BS is almost enough to turn me to team Red - almost. Thank you Intel for the slow ramp, getting annoyed.
I actually thought about getting one, just so I know what they would do myself. But I am not paying more than $380 (MSRP I think). A little over 10% markup ? I just got my second threadripper since they were 12% BELOW MSRP, so I can understand your comment about team red.
