where can I buy a big whiteboard for my room?

I want to stick a big whiteboard in my room on the wall. It just has to be a white board, maybe 10 feet wide, that I can use dry-erase markers on. It doesn't need a frame or the thing for holding pens on the bottom, a plain old white board is fine. Any ideas on where I can find one?

You can get whiteboard material... it's like a thin plastic that you stick to the wall with the "post-it note" type adhesive. Works awesome. We have one in the office we bought at staples about the size you want that's been there for nearly a year.

they are nice to have to. My former roommate and I had one in our apartments hallway. We kept numbers, dates, whatever on it. It was easy. Like a big piece of paper that erases easily...... Ours was only 4x3 though.

The average office supply store would be lucky to sell one of these every year in store.

Pick up a catalog from the office supply stores and have it shipped to you. Probably couldn't fit it in your car anyway.

I work at Staples...I didn't see anything big enough. I may just get the smaller one, something I can stick to the wall would be great!

I got my friend a big one from Wal-Mart for like $10.

Only get Expo brand markers though, the ones I got him from Wal-mart were total crap.

I also gotta get this... for some reason i think better when I'm standing. The board also should be able to fit a solution to a differential equation, so it's gotta be big.

yeah, I hear ya. Standing helps sometimes. I find it's easier to write out ideas if I have a big space, instead of a little piece of paper. Ever since I learned flowcharting a few years ago, I've been using it on everything, it's really helpful 🙂

Get a melamine board at Home Depot or summit. They're cheaper than the "framed" whiteboards, and are much bigger, too. You can use "liquid nails" to mount it on your wall, or use screws. Get a panel or two, and you have a whole wall whiteboard 😀
