I've been thinking a lot in buying a 9700-pro or a 9500-Nonpro and hack it to a 9700. But I dont want to take the risk or anything, So after thinkin it over for weeks, I've decided to go with a 9700Pro (or maybe even 9500pro if its way cheaper)

Does anyone have any links where I can buy a 9700PRO for a very good price? I've checked newegg, and they have ok prices, but I want something a bit cheaper. Retail would be nice, but OEM can satisfy me also.

Also, If the prices are still steep, I might just go with 9500PRO; So please reply regarding this card also.

for $232 at newegg.com you can get the sapphire 9700non pro with the 2.8ns samsung, it's actually a pro board with locked bios. All i've done to mine is flash the bios to a retail one and am now running 340/317.


That's one of the best deals in my opinion.

Are you sure they all come with the Samsung 2.8 mem?
There is a thread at Rage (which of course I can't find right now) that seems to conclude that the "early" batchs had 2.8, the later 3.3?
I'd like to pull the trigger if the ones currently shipping have the 2.8.
