my dad died 3 years ago and i have about 25 boxes full of every conciveable document, bank statement, notes, vehicle logs, medical papers... that one could keep since the 1950's. hell i even found a log of a 1964 Ford Falcon that he bought in 1964 and it list EVERY SINGLE time he got gas in it, how many gallons, milage, cost, cost per gallon and MPG for the 10 years he owned it. :disgust: I need to burn all of this stuff and with my webber grill it would take way to long.
I need a 55 gallon drum so i can get this done one night and have a little fun at it. where can one get a 55 gallon drum?

try contacting some waste management companies, or companies that treat hazardous waste. 55 gallon drums are often used to store such things. my company (an environmental consulting company) has several, but i dont know where we get them from.

buy a shredder instead. if you're going to burn it in a 55 gallon drum, you're going to have to stand over the fire and toss in papers one stack at a time anyway... might as well shred them one by one and check out each paper one last time. you never know what u might find...

Don't you have a municipal recycling collection service?
I'd just put one bin of papers out every two weeks until the papers are all gone...
