I know what you're thinking...outdated,old,antique,HAHAHA!,etc.
I have some old, old software from another computer (Tandy Color Computer 3), that I want to salvage and I need a 5.25" drive. I have an emulator that would be able to read the media. Where can one purchase one?

Yup, definately check your local computer shop for something like that. Hopefully you can find a mom and pop shop that has some older equipment. You might try looking to see if you have any computer renaissance's in your area, they deal mostly in used equipment and the one in my area has a million pieces of old stuff, including 5 1/4 drives.

Check Goodwill, my local store sells 286/386 machines for 3bux. Get the floppy, bunch of case screws and assorted other spare parts.

Gee.... why not just add one of the old "big ten inch" floppys to your system! LOL..

Hey seriously, keep in mind that magnetic media is not perm. if you have some onld stuff on those 5.25 disks they may be total crap by now.

Jameco Electronics has them for around $30, both 360K and 1.2M. If you need 720K, a dual-speed 1.2M may be needed so the drive can rotate at 300 RPM in 720K and 360K modes. I believe the TEAC 1.2M drives are dual-speed.

Oh, I found one. My parents has an old 386 at home in the garage that I didn't think about. I'm going to pull that one and try it.
