Where can I buy a 120mm fan duct?

I'm thinking about changing the side window of my case. I removed the 80mm fan that was there because, after installing my SI-120 with a Panaflo...well, it was basically doing nothing there. So I want to buy plexiglass and make a new window with a duct directly to the 120mm HSF.

I am considering this one: http://www.frozencpu.com/duc-02.html.
But I'd prefer more flexible, like this one, http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_support_installation_fanduct_hr01.htm,
so that when I decide to buy another case, I can reuse it.

Does anyone know where I can find one like that? All mylar ducts I've seen accomodate 92mm fans at most.

Thought....What about using cloths dryer duct? The aluminum ends can be polished or painted, easily cut with scissors, drilling holes in something that thin can be problematic...But it is a close fit for 120mm.

Over at SPCR there are a few mods that use these items but I won't look for you 😉

Yeah, that's a solution I'm considering, but you just gave me an idea.

I could buy one and stick the ends to a square end of plexiglass, which I could then attach to the fan and case.

Thanks for that :light:!

But if someone knows where to get it already done, let me know.

I don't refuse anything...I posted here because I've searched a lot and haven't found it. I have actually read many ducting guides and that's why I decided to do it.

I thought maybe someone had been in the same situation and had an answer. No harm in asking, right? I've only found the first one I posted, though. I'm sometimes faced with shipping restrictions, ie not all stores ship to PR.

Thanks to the others for the suggestions.

He's right. I've searched for ducts too, and though I've found some, they're almost always 92mm. I'm going from a plexi window in a V1200 case to an XP-120.

I thought of another factor, and that is that with a 120mm fan directly on the heatsink, there's a dead space in the middle where the cpu is, which strikes me as a waste. I think if the fan was mounted in the window, and just had a duct attached on the inside simply to force the air towards the HS, it would eliminate the dead space, but then when the case door is off, there's no fan on the HS. I'm still trying to figure this one out...

Not bad IMO joseraul, just file down the edges of the square plexi that is attached to the fan at the same angles for a more finished look 🙂
