I really need some general help with visual basic 6.0. I know this is a hardware only forum so is there a good place to ask programming questions?

I am extremely new to VB and I have a problem. For example: I have three text boxes and a command button. The user is to enter some numbers into the first two text boxes and then hit the command button. I want the program to place the values of text box 1 and 2 into a formula and then I want the answer to appear in the third box. BAsically something that can be done with a calculator in 3 seconds. It's really a little more in depth than this but this will get me going.
Any help or direction is appreciated

dont try learning VB by yourself. I recommend you getting.. "Visual Basic 6 Complete" by Cybex Books.

Well I actually have two VB books but I can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for in there. It may be in there though. The funny thing is that i took a vb4 class a couple of years ago and I wrote pretty much the exact same prog I am trying to do now. I just can't remember some of the details. And unfortunately they are the main details.
As I said i have two books now and I am going through them ot actually learn but I would like to remake this old prog that i used to have.
