Somtimes, you really do not have enough time to cook a well balanced meal and you need some quick food. I rarley have time to cook or wait for meals to be prepared, I need to eat fast food, so I have tried to stick to some healthier options.

Here are some places I go:

Subway - I get a footlong veggie on whole weat with no cheese. Very filling and very good.
Panera Bread (Different name in different places, ie in St Louis, it is the St Louis Bread Co) - I get a sandwich without cheese and on a type of wheat bread.
Carry out at AppleBee's, TGI Fridays, etc - You have to call ahead for this one since prep time can take 20+ minutes. I get a salad and maybe a chicken lunch. I dont do this much since it is more expensive than the other options.
Arbys - A Plain Roast Beef sandwich. You start adding cheese, bacon, etc, thats is when you get in trouble.

What else can I add to my list ?

I usually look at Deli's, etc. at local Co-ops. They are often healthy and usually very tasty.

I go to a little Mom and Pop Japanese 'restaurant.' They have great chicken rice bowls for cheap...

Your two best friends should be your freezer and your Foreman grill.
I keep my freezer stocked with frozen fish, frozen veggies, frozen chicken, frozen ground turkey, frozen rolls, bread, etc. I buy the leanest beef I can find and make burgers, wrap them individually and freeze them.

I can thaw and grill a marlin steak and a bowl of veggies in the time it would take me to go out and find fast food or order it.

Keep eating there, you'll be putting money in my pocket ;) (my wife works there).

I doubt it, I would never go all the way to Dearborn for a sandwich :)

Ah come on, we'll serve you in Dearborn. No? Oh well, you'll just have to keep Panera stock going up (wife has a couple shares too)

They're probably not that popular in MI but I would search for a local Bento restaurant.

Fast, delicious, healthy and cheap.

My Bento's are usually chicken, pork or beef rarely fish.

BK side salad + chicken tender sandwich
Kroger's 4x4 sub
Subway 6" vegetarian sub
